We are glad to invite you to take part in the 7th edition of the Workshop on Plasmonics and its Applications, "PLASMONICA 2019", to be held on June 19-21, 2019 in Naples, Italy.
Plasmonica is an annual conference aimed at bringing together a thriving community of researchers working on Plasmonics and Nanophotonics. In particular, the conference encourages early career researchers, PhD students, and post-docs to share their latest results, to discuss recent advances in the field, and to start new collaborations on challenging scientific problems.
PLASMONICA 2019 is organized by the University of Naples "Federico II" and by the CNR Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems (IMM) - Naples unit, and it is supported by SIOF (the Italian branch of EOS)

The construction of the chiostro began in 1567, when the monasteries of Santi Marcellino e Pietro and Santi Festo e Desiderio (both dating back to the VIII century) were unified, and ended up in 1772. It has a rectangular courtyard surrounded by a portico (three pillared arches) with decorations in piperno; an eight-twentieth-century garden decorated with various fountains in piperno and marble stands in the center. On the south side, there is access to the splendid church of San Marcellino e Festo, now crown jewel of the University Congress Center.

Traveling
You can take the ANM Alibus bus connecting Naples Capodichino Airport to Piazza Garibaldi - Main Train Station. You can find its departure time-table here. The price of the ticket is 5 euro. Once arrived in Piazza Garibaldi, you can easily reach the Metro Linea 1 - Garibaldi Station . At the Garibaldi Station take the Metro, direction Piscinola , and get off after just one stop at Università Station , which is 10 min walk from the conference center.
All the main italian cities are directly connected to Naples by fast trains.
You you can take FrecciaRossa/Argento/Bianca train Trenitalia or an NTV. You have to chose as final destination Napoli Central Station.

For those who comes from the south of Italy, you can reach Napoli by taking the A3 Napoli-Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway.
You should take the Napoli-Porto-Centro ; exit and follow the indications to reach Corso Umberto .
For those who comes from the north of Italy, you can reach Napoli by taking the A1 Milano - Napoli highway. Then, you should take the A3 Napoli-Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway. After few kilometers, you should take the Napoli-Porto-Centro exit and follow the indications to reach Corso Umberto.
