The third edition of the School of Plasmonics and Nano-Optics will be held in Torino (IT) from July 4th to July 7th 2022. The aim of the School is to bring together students and scientists at the early stage of their career in the field of photonics, interested in the study of light at the nanoscale, to present and discuss the latest research and future directions of the field in an open atmosphere, and help developing the community of plasmonics and nano-optics. The school is supported and co-organized by the SIOF working group 'Plasmonics and Nano-Optics' and is a joint event with the PLASMONICA workshop, held at the Politecnico di Torino from July 7th to July 8th 2022.
The School features a number of lessons from leading international scientists of the respective fields. Attendees are encouraged to submit abstracts of their own research
to be presented as posters. Few abstracts will be selected as short oral contributions. Attendance is limited to 40 participants.

The School will be held at the Polytechnic University of Turin main campus, in Torino downtown, Italy. The Regio Politecnico di Torino (Royal Turin Polytechnic) was founded as institution in 1906, following the model of the most famous European Polytechnic Schools. The Regio Politecnico di Torino has become over the years an international university where traditions and future, past and modernity are closely interlinked.
Roman castrum, medieval town, first capital of Italy, Torino offers a lasting memory of castles, old beautiful palaces, royal residences, monuments. Torino is one of the cultural leading cities in Italy. The city’s lively cultural scene includes music, theatre, visual arts, photography, film, design, dance and heritage as well as a wide choice of museums, 46 in town, such as the second largest Egyptian Museum in the world, the beautiful Galleria Sabauda with Italian and Flemish painting collections, the Automobile Museum, the Modern Art Gallery, the Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Oriental Art and the unique National Cinema Museum, housed in the Mole Antonelliana building. The participation fee includes lunch and coffee breaks. Spaces are also available for exhibits.

The social dinner will take place on July 7th at 20:30 at the restaurant 'Snodo', Corso Castelfidardo 22, Torino, which is located in the post-industrial building of the Officine Grandi Riparazioni (OGR).
Please note that the cost of the social dinner is of additional 35 EUR for each school participant
